The recent news that devastated the world was the news of Haiti’s earthquake the destroyed half their city. Its devastation impacted the world very strongly for it caused grief all over the nation. This earthquake killed over 110,000 people and their homes were completely vaporized by the strength of the earthquake. The news still says that people are trapped under the debris of the after math. The people of Haiti cry for help for the nation they live in has been annihilated by Mother Nature’s wrath. There are disaster reliefs where people can bring any type of medical product to help the Red Cross that made their way to the people of Haiti and help them out. Schools also do small things to benefit the Haiti relief program which gives the Red Cross more supplies to Haiti. It is sad that to start the new year of 2010 our nation is devastated with the earthquake that destroyed Haiti.

The way the colonist had to fight for their own independence through battle and by battle the tactics that were used and provided by Benjamin Martin. He helped the military skills and tactics to be better for the soldiers to win the battle against the British.
Benjamin Martin changed the tactics of battle during the war against the British forces. The tactics that were being used by the military did not help them in any way. The soldiers would march up to the battle field while facing the enemy and shoot themselves until the last one was standing. They would not move but just stand there while refilling on ammo and during that time the soldiers would get killed by the British. These tactics could not help them but only get them killed and that was not good enough. The colonist needed to win this battle against the British to gain their independence from their unfair ruling.
Benjamin Martin had a fighting style that was different but yet made much more sense. He would hide inside the woods and shoot from a random place, so that the British could get confused and not understand where the shot came from. Also, he taught the colonist how to ambush a group of troops to help them have more advantage on the war. The number of British soldiers seem too decreased by the tactics of Benjamin Martin, it help the colonist fight better in battle. This tactic was way more effective then that last one, for it help them stunned the British. The British could not see what was coming from the colonist and the surprises that lied ahead. This tactics Benjamin Martin used to help the colonist became an effective way to fight the British and it became the new tactic for the colonial army.
