Describe the Northwest Ordinance: Provides gov for Western territories based on Jefferson ideals. Territory would have a governor, secretary, and three Judges.

Describe Jefferson’s plan to expand the US: Jefferson wanted to get more land by expanding the Pacific and but the colonist and Indians were already settled there.

Describe the Louisiana Purchase: Napoleon agrees to sell the territories in 1803 giving away the Louisiana Purchase including New Orleans.

Describe the Lewis and Clark Expedition: In 1804 Thomas Jefferson sends Lewis and Clark on expedition to explore the territory and on their way the came across an Indian woman by the name of Sacagawea, who helped them.

Describe the Monroe Doctrine: In 1823 foreign policy doctrine said that Europe should not become involved with any Latin affairs and it wasn’t important enough to be passed.
